GRAFFITI RICHMOND IS…Alright well, I guess the secret is out.A couple of weeks ago I was approached by Style Weekly for an interview and obviously I couldn’t turn it down. The article can be found here: Tag and Shoot as well as in this week’s tangible issue. I hope you all know that I was very particular in the questions I answered and I can assure you that no juicy information was given. Vernal Coleman, you’re a great reporter and I can’t thank you enough for hanging out with me that day to explore some trains. Thank you for keeping to your word and not discussing anything I did not wish for you to and I hope you continue to keep your eyes open to the secret art this city has to offer. My name is Keeley Laures and I am Graffiti Richmond (yes, I’m the chick that makes your coffee and sells you your art supplies)  (Also, I know the reporter accidentally spelled elkamino (there was no way for him to know) incorrectly and for the record he (elkamino) did not actually send me the video of him creating the wall piece (just to clarify, another artist did, haha))I also wanted to thank you all for aiding in keeping this blog alive. I hope that a sense of community and acknowledgement can somehow make it known that graffiti will maintain being a secretive art form but not a form that causes one to end up in jail for a ridiculous amount of time in the same conditions as one committing a serious offense.
